Cleaning the Collet for ZS-52D <DWX-52D>
Collet (part used to grip the milling bur)
If milling waste enters the inside of the collet or into the groove, the gripping force (the gripping force of the milling bur) may decrease, resulting in a problem.
Clean the inside of the spindle after removing the collet, and clean the removed collet with a cotton swab, etc. Dry cotton swabs are recommended to prevent damage to the collet, as moisture can cause rust.
Collet cleaning may improve the following problems:
- When milling accuracy is poor.
- 101D-**** The % milling bur cannot be released.
- 101E-**** The % milling bur might be broken.
- 101F-**** The % milling bur chucking has slipped out.
- 102D-**** The spindle experienced overcurrent.
There are two types of spindles. This section presents the case of ZS-52D.
*The collet for ZS-52D spindles is ZC-52D.
