101E-**** The % milling bur might be broken <DWX-52D>
*We are guiding the user through the manual page.
If the machine is stopped while the milling bur is gripped, first remove the material, then navigate to VPanel [Machine settings] > [Maintenance] > [Open Collet] to remove it by hand.
If this error occurs even though the milling bur is not broken, please try this procedure.
101F-**** The % milling bur chucking has slipped out. <DWX-52D>
◆ The attrition of the milling bur
The most common cause is attrition of the milling bur. If this occurs, replace it with a brand-new milling bur for milling. Milling burs are consumables.
If a thin milling bur is broken, also check the thicker milling bur. In some cases, the thicker milling bur may be worn out and unable to mill sufficiently. This can lead to the thin milling bur being subjected to excessive milling force, resulting in it breaking.
Even within the replacement time of the milling bur, consumable may be accelerated due to milling conditions and the type of material. If the milling bur is used until it breaks, the load on the spindle, collet and motors will be higher and machine problems may increase.
Try using our genuine milling bur. For purchasing milling burs, please contact your authorized DGSHAPE/Roland DG Corporation dealer.
◆ Mounting position of the adapter
When the adaptor floats deep or anterior to the clamp and is attached obliquely, the adaptor sticks out, resulting in increased milling resistance and milling bur breakage.
◆ Automatic correction
This may be improved by performing automatic correction.

◆ Milling waste adheres to the collet, which is the part that chucks (grips) the milling bur.
Detach the collet and clean the inside. Please refer to the following pages.

◆ Collet deformation, cracks, chipping
The collet is a consumable. Replace the collet. The collet must be ordered from your dealer in the same way as the milling bur.
*A brand-new spindle is supplied with a collet.

◆ The milling bur does not match the material.
Please check the type of milling bur and the type and size of the material.
◆ The milling condition is strict.
Please review the milling speed (Override) and CAM data. There have been cases where the shank of the milling bur has collided with the material.
◆ Improper mounting of workpiece, milling bur holder and spindle.

2 Are the spindle and milling bur holder securely screwed in place without any rattling?
Retighten the fixing screws. Please refer to the following pages.

3 Is the spindle belt sufficiently tensioned?
3.1 Loosen the screws securing the motor stay by about two turns.
3.2 Adjust the belt position.
3.3 Secure the motor stay. Tighten the screws.
