There are two types of spindles. This section presents the case for ZS-4D.
The collet for ZS-4D spindles is ZC-4D.
Items for use
- Tape
*Use masking tape, curing tape, etc., that are easy to peel off and leave no residue. - Wrench (for spindles)
- Detection pin
Procedure
1 Remove materials and jigs if they are attached to the machine.
2 Clicking VPanel [Machine Settings] > [Maintenance] > [Open collet].
3 As the spindle tip descends, wrap the tape around 2-3 times to bridge across the area marked by the two arrows in the diagram below.
4 When ready, align the wrench with the collet and insert the detection pin into the hole of the collet.
5 While supporting the detection pin, turn the wrench to remove the collet. When removing the collet, turn clockwise when viewed from the top.
NOTE
When attaching or removing the collet, use the included wrench and keep the detection pin inserted. If the detection pin is not inserted, the collet may be deformed, resulting in lower milling accuracy.
6 When the collet is removed, be sure to peel off the tape before completing the task.
