How to Perform Collet Maintenance <DWX-53D>
Performing regular collet maintenance prevents spindle issues. The process requires approximately 10 minutes.
A collet maintenance reminder will appear on the VPanel every 200 milling hours*. Please carry out the maintenance when the message is displayed.
* With slight variation depending on the work situation.
** This feature requires firmware version v200 or later and VPanel version v4.12.0 or later.
*** You can check the time elapsed since the last collet maintenance on the VPanel.

 Grease |
 Cleaning stick |
CAUTION
・ Wear oil-resistant protective gear if you will be in prolonged or repeated contact with grease.
・ After work, wash any grease-contaminated areas with water and soap.
NOTE 1
Do not loosen the collet with the torque screwdriver with the sleeve (1) attached.
Doing so may damage the sleeve. Remove the sleeve from the torque screwdriver before loosening the collet.
NOTE 2
The collet must be tightened at the specified tightening torque 0.3Nm.
Before tightening the collet with a torque driver, always ensure a sleeve matching the torque value of 0.3 Nm is installed. Using a sleeve with the wrong torque value may damage the collet.
