Effects of the ionizer and how to care for it.

The ionizer ionizes charged milling waste, preventing it from sticking to the rotary axis unit and the walls of the machine. This makes cleaning inside the machine easier.

◆ The Ionizer Is Ineffective (Milling Waste Collects around the Milling Area)

1. The ionizer is effective only for PMMA.

2. Is the pressure in the regulator and the compressor correct?
When milling PMMA on DWX-4 or DWX-51D, the air pressure should be set to 0.2MPa using a regulator.

3. Use a milling bur compatible with PMMA.
If a diamond-coated milling bur is used, the ionizer will not function properly.

4. Is the machine grounded?
Connect to ground.

5. Is the ionizer blocked by milling waste?
Clean as described below.

◆ How to take care of the Ionizer.

Turn off the power before cleaning the area around the ionizer.

Remove milling waste from the ionizer by brushing it off or using a dust collector to suck it up.

Do not allow milling waste to accumulate in the ionizer.
