How to Update the Firmware.

Using the latest version of VPanel for DWX, firmware and driver will ensure that the latest features are available and operation is stable. Customers using older versions are advised to update.

• VPanel for DWX : Software that operates milling machines.
• Firmware : Software to be installed on the milling machine.
• Driver : Software that connects a PC to a milling machine.

*Please note that firmware upgrades are not possible on the PC without the driver.

*If the firmware is updated, the VPanel may also need to be updated. In this case, please make sure that the latest version of VPanel is compatible with the PC before updating the firmware.

1  The latest version of the software can be downloaded from our Download Center page.

2  Click on the corresponding machine.

3  Click [Software].

4  Click [Driver] and check the latest version.

5  Click [Firmware] > [Read]/[Ver]. Check the notes on the latest firmware version.

Ensure that the latest version of VPanel is compatible with the PC, especially if the VPanel update is required. If compatible cannot be ensured, refrain from updating the firmware.

6  Download the firmware.

7  Unzip the ZIP files (Expand All) and save them to an easy-to-open location such as the Desktop.

8  If the machine and the PC are connected via the USB cable, unplug the USB cable.

9  Run the extracted EXE file and follow the displayed messages.

10  Once this process is completed, update VPanel as necessary.
