Errors occur during automatic correction <DWX-52D>
- Automatic correction cannot be completed.
- The diameter of the detection pin is not in the correct range of values.
- The detection pin is too long.
- VPanel prompts for cleaning and automatic correction stops.
- When the milling bur is returned, an abnormal sound is heard caused by rubbing the metal around the hole of the milling bur stocker.
*We are guiding the user through the manual page.

3 Key points for cleaning!
In order to achieve high milling accuracy, the completion conditions for automatic correction are strictly defined.
- Have you touched the automatic correction jig or detection pin with greasy or cream-covered hand? Wipe them thoroughly with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Check whether the milling waste has been completely cleared from the ceiling or bellows. Remove milling waste from these areas with the provided brush.
- Errors related to the diameter or length of the detection pin often occur due to contamination in the area where the machine stopped due to the error. Clean the area where the machine stopped.
- Have you carefully cleaned the area around the milling bur sensor? Remove milling waste from the area with the provided brush.
- Wipe the clamp and the central protrusion on the ATC magazine as well.
- Dirty conduction plate (leaf spring) or the top surface of the spindle in contact with it can also cause errors.
NOTE
*Please note that wiping with a wet cloth may leave moisture on the parts, potentially leading to rusting.
*Cleaning with alcohol (anhydrous) is not recommended in the user’s manual due to the risk of fire.
4 Cleaning the inside of the machine and cleaning the jig
The rotary axis unit should be cleaned using the VPanel Cleaning Dialogue.
If any milling waste remains attached within the area enclosed by the thick black line in the diagram below, it should be carefully removed, as it may affect the milled outputs.
Especially where cleaning is necessary
The parts marked as (1) and (2) in the diagram below, as well as the automatic correction jig and detection pin to be used, should be wiped clean with “Cloth for care” supplied with the product.
Correction may not be performed properly if there are stains.

5 Perform the automatic correction
5.1 Set the detection pin to No. 15 in the ATC magazine.
5.2 Insert the automatic correction jig into the clamp as shown in the figure.
5.3 Secure the fixing knob (at 2 locations) by turning it in the direction of the arrow while pushing the automatic correction jig as shown.
Point
If the knob is difficult to turn by the hand, use the attached wrench (for clamp).
5.4 In VPanel, navigate to [Machine settings] > [Maintenance] > [Automatic Correction].
5.5 When completed, open the front cover and remove the detection pin.

6 Spindle is worn out.
If the machine stops at a random position each time during automatic correction, this may be due to spindle wear. Spindle replacement may be necessary if errors persist even after cleaning.
Spindle is a consumable. The standard replacement time for use is 2000 hours, but exhaustion may be accelerated due to milling conditions or the type of materials.
